Walking in the Prosperity of God

By Ken Day

McDowell Countywalking in the prosperity of God

The bible declares unto us; “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasure.” (Job 36:11) Here we have a promise that is given to us in the book of Job.  We should understand that the prosperity declared here is based on a conditional promise. Meaning we as disciples must obey God’s command for the condition to be right to received prosperity and pleasure.  God wants us to be healthy and to live a financially prosperous life.  He wills the best for his children however, we must understand that we must love him and obey him so we can receive prosperity.  Why should we seek this financial and physical prosperity?  Because it is part of being a spiritually whole person and being made in the image of God.  In the beginning, Adam and Eve were totally prosperous and God took care of all the needs.  They were truly rich in all respects. Then they disobeyed the loving Father and were removed from paradise. You see there are consequences for disobedience. Job 36:12 says, “But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.” God wants to prospers us yet will we let him?  Let us read and pray over these scriptures mentioned above.  The Bible is a book of love and it challenges his servants.   I challenge you today to allow God to prosper you.  Remember you must obey and serve him.
