The Next Great Revival and Renewal

By Joe Sturz

Shenandoah, VirginiaJoe Sturz Shenandoah Virginia

God’s people are under increasing pressure today (II Cor. 4:7-13) as the Lord works to prepare their character (Romans 5:2-5; James 1:3-4) for the next great revival and renewal. (Joel 2:28-29; Habakkuk 2:1-4; 3:17-19; Acts 3:19-21).

For us to be renewed we need to pray and:

–look for guidance through His Word as we ask, seek, and knock (Proverbs 3:5-6; Luke 11:9-10; II Timothy 3:16-17),
–go deeper in repentance (II Chronicles 7:14-15; Psalm 51:1-12),
–seek the empowering of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; Romans 8:11-14;  Eph. 5:18-20) for increased gifts and graces (Romans 12;6-10; I Cor. 12:3-13; Galatians 5:22-26).
So let us commit our way to the Lord and cast all our anxieties on Him then wait in faith as the Lord works everything out (Psalm 37:1-11; I Peter 5:7) for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28; I Cor. 10:31). Let us deepen our commitment to see the Lord bring a great renewal to our land as we pray His promises and act on His guidance to be part of the means of bringing it about (II Peter 1:10).
Brother Joe “praying and doing” Sturz ‎Wednesday, ‎November ‎17.  A true believer is one who accepts and acts on the Good News of the Gospel, which is: Jesus Christ the innocent one, suffered and died on the cross to satisfy the Holy God’s just punishment for the sins of His people ( John 10:14-18; I Peter 1:18-23). With His justice satisfied by punishing His Son instead of sinners He could justly grant sinners mercy and forgiveness and so secure a heavenly inheritance for those that believe and follow Him (I Cor. 15:1-4; Eph. 1:10-14).

When you repent of your sin, you receive His forgiveness (I John 1:9). Then you must trust in Christ alone for salvation (Romans 10:9-10) and live for Him out of gratitude for saving you (Acts 1:8; Philippians 3:13-14). Hear or read the Bible daily (Acts 17:11). Be baptized and attend a local Bible-believing church.  (Acts 2:38-41, 47). While attending church you will be equipped to share your faith with others and apply God’s Law word in every area of your life (Acts 2:46-47; Ephesians 4:12-16). Thereby becoming one of Christ’s kingdom builders. (Matthew 6:30-34).
If you have already received Christ but are not living for Him as you should then now is the time to truly repent of your sin of backsliding, rededicate your life to Him, change your ways and become active in a local church again. (Hebrews 10:25).
