Evidence of God

Do you see the evidence of the presence of God in your life?  Psalm 16:5-11 says, “The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

When David looked at his life, he saw God’s presence all over it.  As Christians, we need to train our eyes to See God and notice the indication of His never-ending presence.  I can attest that I have seen the miracles of God in my own life.  How often do we give Him the credit for it?  Do we often consider it a chance, a coincidence?   The answered prayers, the blessing of a new day, the health of our family, the encouragement of a friend, the salvation of a child, breaking the bonds of addiction, and much more are only a few to mention of the miracles that we encounter.  Appreciating the Lord’s handiwork etches the reality of His care more deeply within my life.   A heart of praise and thanksgiving will create a special relationship with our Heavenly Father.

We should not only recognize the blessings of God, but we should adhere to His teachings and the direction that He puts before us.  Matthew 5:8 states, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”   In other words, having clear conscience and holy thoughts will allow us to dwell in the presence of God; it will become a lifestyle.  We will recognize our failures and try daily to improve.  We will be more aware of God’s involvement in our lives and circumstances.  The evidence of God in our lives creates power.  It allows you to have boldness and peace that only comes from above.  Viewing the world with spiritual eyes changes our perspective.  We depart from an attitude of “I can’t” to “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”

Jesus’ power can pull us through anything if we will allow Him to shine and direct.  God allows us to have choices; we can choose to ignore the presence of the Holy Spirit and live without Him or allow Him to dwell within us.  Life is hard, especially in the struggles of today.  Nevertheless, God wants a relationship with each of us.  He wants to reveal Himself daily in our lives, giving us hope that we are never alone.  Train yourself to See God daily and live your life with the confidence that a loving, omnipotent God is directing your way.  The Master of the Sea, the creator of the universe, the Messiah, the Savior of the World is the power to pull us through.  Seek and you shall find!
