Technology is the ultimate enticer of all things flesh! 1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” The word of God teaches us how challenging it is for us to get this flesh under subjection to the will of God. The Lord Himself warned us in the above scripture. It’s a battle for the mind as my dear friend and true prophet of God warned it would be during this time we live in. Sadly, most people’s minds are already gone. Sold out to vain carnal lusts which will destroy them in the end. Our natural minds are insatiably searching for something new and technology is the brain candy to keep it deluded.
God put the title of this article on my mind for several days. Most folks’ minds experience no freedom anymore. Freedom to just be quiet and meditate, recollect, plan and focus and, God forbid, relax. And, as we have mentioned before, nearly all of the information overload most of us allow ourselves to be inundated with is useless junk. Like one of those post-apocalyptic, massive junkyards full of defunct vehicles of various sizes and such. It takes discipline to prepare ourselves to seek the Lord and to separate ourselves from all distractions. To give ourselves enough time to be quiet so we can hear the voice of the Lord. Technology is contrary to all of that as 1 John 2:16 warns us. Technology, especially smartphones, is a seething fleshpot of carnal wanderlust and it’s captivated nearly the entire world. Satan has the world right where he wants to drop the hammer and bring in the one world government and one world church.
It all seems dreamy now because money is tight but still flowing freely. Most can still go and buy things to their heart’s desire. Freedom still prevails in most developed countries in the western hemisphere. And the media doesn’t tell you the truth and show you just how dire everything actually is. The blitzkrieg of advertising in every media format just keeps people blinded to reality. The fear of the Lord is gone almost completely in the world today. Most everyone acts like God relaxed and took a nap and stopped holding them accountable for their sin. Revelation 3:15-17 “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”
Just remember though friend that God’s memory is perfect and He doesn’t change and His standard never relaxes. Nahum 1:3 “The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” When the mighty US dollar collapses, the world will go into a tailspin that will leave many of you lost forever and reprobate. Satan loves for you to allow yourself to think you are on easy street. The second you stop trying to be spiritually vigilant and leaning to your own understanding, he has you like the bird in the snare. You should read the parable of the 10 virgins with their lamps in Matthew 25:1-13. The oil the five were lacking is symbolic of the anointing of God which they didn’t have. By the time they realized it, it was too late. Do you have oil in your lamp?
