He Arose!

The two words, “He Arose”, make all the difference to those of us who are Christian and are followers of Jesus Christ.  As we go into the Easter season remember the reason we celebrate. It is not for the bunny rabbit or the easter eggs. It is to remember the fact that on the third day, Jesus arose from the dead.  He and He alone conquered death and its sting.

“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  1 Corinthians 15:55-57 KJV

There are hundreds of religions in the world but there is only one that has a risen savior, and that Savior is Jesus Christ our Lord.  Let us remember that as we go through each day and let us continue to pray that our nation and our leaders will be grounded in that very fact.  This has distinguished our nation from other nations in the world.  We need to always remember that it was the principles of Christianity that were the foundation blocks we were built on as a great nation.

“And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.”  1 Corinthians 15:4-6 KJV

While I give thanks for the greatest gift ever known to man, I also worry about the future of our great nation and where we are headed this Easter season.  The entire tenet of our constitution was founded on Judeo-Christian values and principles.  All through the letters and writing of our founding fathers are found numerous references to these Biblical foundations and I see these being eroded so quickly that it is totally astounding.

As we celebrate a risen Savior this month, also stop to pray for a falling nation that appears to be moving at breakneck speed toward trying to remove even any reference to our very core of foundational building blocks.  Our very society is being challenged to the point that we cannot trust God as the creator of our very gender.  We can no longer look between our legs at birth and determine if we were created male or female.  We are doing worse than the heathen civilizations of old that sacrificed their children to different gods of the supposed universe.

Stop whatever you are doing and give thanks for a risen Savior, our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ.  While you are on your knees, pray as never before for this nation, one nation under God, to be turned back to “In God We Trust”.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
