Schools Promoting Deviant Sexuality

“O, How I Love Jesus.”  O, how we need Jesus!  How burdened I am to see the condition of our Nation.  It breaks my heart to see America having moved so far from the teachings of the Word to embrace lifestyles that the Word condemns!  A perfect example of this is the National Education Association encouraging younger children in America to read books promoting deviant sexuality* over the summer. When there is such a push in our education system to indoctrinate even our younger school students to accept homosexual lifestyles, when traditional historical Judeo-Christian values have been completely discarded in the public schools across America, when Jesus has been censored out of the public school system, and when our students are having to deal with transgender students using bathrooms based upon their current gender identification we have a serious problem!  Again, O how we need Jesus!

Recently I have been led to preach a series of messages from John 14-17.  I have entitled the series “Beholding the Christ, The Lamb of God.”  Can I share hope for what we are having to deal with today in America?  We have hope!  I entitled the message, “Help For Today, Hope For Tomorrow.”  We have an amazing hope for tomorrow!  We get to go home to be with the Lord.  But the problem we face is having to get from what we are dealing with today to the point of being able to enter into Heaven!  That answer comes at the end of this article.

I am a firm believer that what we are seeing in our nation was prophesied to take place just before Jesus comes back for the Church in the Rapture.  In Luke 17:28,29 Jesus taught, “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.”

We know what Sodom and Gomorrah were like.  Homosexuality was the way of the land with the men of the city wanting to lie with the angels of God.  Historians describe these two cities as being “licentious.”  Webster’s dictionary defines licentious as “: lacking legal or moral restraints. especially: disregarding sexual restraints.”   Isn’t that what we are seeing in America today?  One can hardly watch any public television without seeing so much evidence of a “godless” culture!

Now, what is our hope for today?  How do we get through these dark times?  The answer is: live for Christ, get just as close to the Lord as we personally can, AND make sure we bring all of our family to Him. Children must be taught the historical Judeo-Christian value principles America was founded upon!  While we may not be able to have Jesus in our public schools, we CAN and MUST have Him first and foremost in our homes!

Teach the Scriptures daily to family.  Model Christian beliefs in the home.  Don’t condone or allow evil to invade your home.  Screen the media, music, and websites for all family members.  I have always preached and believed that the Word of God is the answer to the issues we deal with.  I have also always preached that “evil seeds sown bring a harvest!”   When we allow the evils of the day to enter into our minds through music, tv and such it WILL begin to condition us AND OUR CHILDREN to accept things we must not!

Remember, we have hope for tomorrow; we also have help for today!  The Creator is on our side.  He, through His Holy Spirit, will provide encouragement, help, wisdom, and protection if we will just take the teachings of the Word seriously.  After all, the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God!  Know the Word!  Meditate on the Word!  Live our the teachings of the Word and see the Spirit of God protect our families from this current onslaught of evil.  Amen!
