Have you ever seen or known a team that never loses at any competition? Does such a team exist? Yes, it does, and the most influential book in the world tells us about unity like this.

First, here is the story of Jesus.

Many years ago, about 2000, in the country of Israel, on the bank of the Jordan river special event took place. Jesus Christ, the incarnated Son of God, was baptized by prophet John in Jordan. When all of a sudden “… the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22 KJV). It was the Holy Spirit and the voice of the Father God. After the Baptism, when the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, the mission of Christ on Earth began. It was a life of hardship, sacrifice, and victory. Praise the Lord! Jesus is risen and alive today.

The question is, what was it that gave the victory to our Lord and Savior? According to the Scriptures, it is the collaboration of the three-in-one Godhead. Jesus said: “I and my Father are one.” (John 10:30 KJV). He was led and guided by the Holy Spirit, and right before returning to Heaven, He said: “Go…make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19, NKJV). Jesus spoke of the Trinity – His Team! What is it, and how can we understand the working of it?

The word “Trinity” is not in the Bible; however, it talks about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

God the Father is described as the overseer of all, the source of everything. He sustains our lives and number our days (Acts 17:25); He worked through God the Son in the creation of our world (Genesis 1:26); He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to save us (John 3:16), and He loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3: 1 John 4:19)!

God the Son is characterized as our Savior, our Advocate, and the one who became human to relate with us and teach us to save us from the consequences of sin. He loved us so much that He paid that penalty so that we could choose to have eternal life (John 15:13); He wants to be your friend (John 15:14); He created first man and woman with His own hands (Genesis 2:7); He has existed about the creation of this world (John 1:1-3; 8:58).

God, the Holy Spirit, is described as One who will help you stay strong in your faith and make the best decisions for your life. He can become your personal guide (Isaiah 30:21; John 16:13); He works through your conscience (Mark 13:11); He works through our prayers (Romans 8:26); He works through our mind as we read the Bible (Psalms 119:105); He prepares us for Heaven (Galatians 5:22, 23; Romans 5:5)!

So, this is the team. All three members of the Trinity are working together to make it possible for you to be an heir of eternal life. There truly is the ultimate winning team ready to sustain you, guide you, and redeem you.

Jesus invites you and me to join His victorious team and be with Him forever. As he prayed to His Father: “Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory…” (John 17:24 KJV). Is it your desire to join the team and surrender yourself to the Lord today? May the Lord Bless You!
