“This is How I Fight My Battles”

How often do we question our circumstances? Do you find yourself in prayer asking God to change the adversity that you’re facing? I like to be comfortable and detest change. Sometimes our lives become a pattern and we tend to overlook the calling that God has on our lives. We all face challenges. How we respond to those challenges define us as Christians. Sometimes those challenges are short term, other times they are long term and follow us throughout our life. It is easy to walk in the glory of God when life is running smoothly. But, how do we shine through the hard times? Prayer, lots of Faith, and Trust! Trusting that God has a reason and purpose for all things. I have witnessed personally that sometimes we must step outside our comfort zone to be faithful to God’s calling. Through my own circumstances, my prayer has become … Lord change me, help me to face my problems, struggles, hardships knowing that I am not alone and that You have a divine purpose for all things I face. Romans 12:12 says, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” As children of God, we have hope. Our hope is heaven, a day of no more sadness, pain, or death. God made each of us unique and has a perfect plan for our lives. We all walk through the valley and have a multitude of problems. Thankfully, we have been granted the opportunity to let God lead and strengthen our spiritual walk along the way. Focus on God and seek His purpose and His will throughout the turmoil. Fight with your faith and the strength that God freely gives. He will give you endurance and sufficiently see you through. Stand firm and believe that all things are good when you serve God. Our God is sovereign and just! He loves each of His children and wants to see us prosper. Luke 21:19 says, “Stand firm, and you will win life.” How do you fight your battles? Do you put on the armor of God, trust Him to lead, and have faith that perseveres? Or do you struggle to change the circumstances before you, causing yourself to become bitter and weary? James 1:12, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” What a perfect promise! Challenge yourself to walk in the “goodness of God”! Fight your battles acknowledging that God is always faithful, your friend, and your Redeemer!
