Woke Mentality and the Seeds we Plant

“Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.”  Deuteronomy 22:9 KJV

I have always thought of April as being a month that we look forward to planting the first seeds or plants of the year.  Time to have the soil prepared and ready to plant and look forward to a bountiful harvest as the Lord provides the rain and the sun that it will take to grow a good harvest.  The verse that I shared at the beginning of this article is important if you want to grow a pure crop, one that is true to its original seed.  Mixing the seed will produce a mixed crop that will not be pure in its origin and will not reproduce the pureness that you want.

This thought really leads me to what I wanted to talk about in this Life Lesson!  What kinds of seeds are we planting in our lives daily?  Are they pure seeds of faith and righteous living and speech, or are we sending out mixed signals to our family and all those around us?  We are told in the Book of James that a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.  We are either for or against something.  Straddling the fence only gets us in all kinds of trouble.  We are also told that we cannot love the things of this world and the things of the Lord at the same time. We will hate the one and love the other.  I know that I am paraphrasing here but if we are to live a life that will teach our children and others around us to be responsible members of society, we must to the best of our ability, be consistent in all our actions.  Our plowing a straight furrow in the field of life is more important than preaching a sermon, our doing and being is much more important than our talking.

In today’s world of “woke mentality,” we are losing all sense of right and wrong.  We are allowing all kinds of things to take place that make absolutely no sense in real life.  I am seeing all kinds of articles about biological males competing in women’s sporting events and the so-called feminists are not saying a word, how stupid is this?  The skeletal make-up of the male and female are different and so is the muscular make-up.  We are destroying our very society with this kind of thinking and yet a vast number of people feel that this is okay!  I admit I cannot even fathom their thinking.  When we don’t follow the laws of nature we will pay the consequences over time, and that time will come quickly.

As you read these words, think about your own mental stance today. What kind of seed are you allowing in your mind, are you sticking with pure, unadulterated seed, or are you allowing various seed thoughts that are conflicting with the laws of nature and the laws of morality that are given us through the word of God?  Are you allowing the media and the world to influence you and color your view of right and wrong? Are you devoting time to make sure you and your family are planting seeds that will be harvestable in the future?  These are serious times we are living in and the quality of our harvest is going to depend on the seeds of faith and truthfulness that we are planting each and every day of our lives.

“He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”  Psalm 126:6 KJV
