The Father

Most people in the world today think that life comes from a mother. Mothers are the ones who give birth to their children. However, can life come without a father? Save yourself lots of time and admit that a father has to be there.

In fact, life as we know it came from the Father.

Here is the story.

“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth…” (Genesis 1:1-3 KJV). Here we see God the Father, along with His Son (John 1:1-3), and the Holy Spirit created the Heavens and the Earth. God is the Creator and Sustainer of life. (Acts 17:28).

Another favorite verse is in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (KJV). This famous verse talks about God the Father’s love toward us. However, some people may not be able to recognize God as their good Father due to their life experience when they did not have a good earthly father. This fact should not stop anyone from believing that there is a heavenly Father, Who loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). The Bible tells us that God is our Father—  good, perfect, and loving.  The most essential characteristic of our incredible Father is that He could not allow his children to perish without doing something to save them. Human fathers may fail us, but we have a Father in Heaven who loves us with perfect, never failing unconditional love.

Let us see what more the Bible tells us about the Father. 1 John 3:1 KJV:

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…” It’s remarkable to think the God of the universe — the One who created all things — would call us His children. Yet, that’s what the Bible tells us so! Our God is a Father to the fatherless also! (Psalm 68:5). Most importantly, God is the Father of Jesus! (Mark 14:36).

There are so many beautiful things about His character. He is love, just, merciful, all-powerful, patient, good, holy, never-changing, all-knowing, and ever-present! He will help you when you are: afraid, worried, need healing, need forgiveness, need wisdom, feel lonely, and when you are brokenhearted. Our awesome Father is coming soon to take His children home. He wants you to be part of His family too. He wants you there with Him. God cares for us, disciplines us, protects us, and loves us!

Dear reader, what do you think about our Dear Heavenly Father? Would you like to be accepted to the family of God by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ? Make your decision today, and may God Bless you! Matthew 11:28–30 KJV: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
