Chamber Launches Seek+Find Support Local Campaign with Playing Cards at 20+ Local Businesses
The Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce continues its efforts to support local businesses with a new campaign that will run the month of May and aims to get locals and visitors into local shops, restaurants and businesses to “Support Local”
The campaign features a playing card that can be picked up at any of the 20+ participating businesses in the county. With each purchase at a participating business, players can get a sticker added to their card. Once they collect four stickers, they drop their card in the box at the business to be entered into a prize drawing that will take place once the campaign ends.
“We are excited to kick off our newest Support Local campaign,” said Patti Jensen, Executive Director of the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce, “and to get everyone excited about playing to win!” Jensen stated that the newest campaign is a continuation of the Chamber’s year-round efforts to support local businesses and continually remind local citizens of the importance of keeping their dollars in the community. “We all know that the past year has taken a tremendous toll of everyone,” said Jensen. “We see that restrictions are beginning to be lifted by state and federal authorities,” said Jensen, and this is a great time to give our businesses a real kick start for the Spring and Summer season with our local purchases.” Jensen reminded that many businesses still offer curbside service, takeout orders and online shopping for those that may need to continue those methods of support their business.
The Chamber’s Support Local playing card can be picked up at any participating business (visit the Chamber’s Facebook Event Page for a list of all of the businesses). Players will see a QR code on the front of the card which they can hover their phone’s camera over and see a link pop up. Once the link is clicked they will be taken to the Event Page with all of the details for playing along. “It’s simple,” said Jensen. “Visit a local participating Chamber member business, grab a card and add your first sticker with your purchase. Then just make three other purchases at any of the businesses, get three more stickers and put your contact information on the back of the card and drop your card off to enter the prize giveaway.” The question has come up if a person can play more than once. “Yes, once you fill up one card, just grab another card and begin making purchases throughout the county,” said Jensen. The more you play, the more chances you have to win.
The Chamber adds that this is a great time to also visit businesses that you may not have visited before or maybe haven’t been to in a while. “We encourage everyone to get out and learn more about the businesses in our county,” said Jensen. “Make this a true month of Seek+Find…seek out new businesses on the list and find out what they have to offer. We have so many wonderful Chamber member businesses providing great products, experiences and amazing customer service.”
