I never saw your twinkling eyes Or touched your precious feet. I never shared a tiny yawn Or rocked you fast asleep. I never kissed your tiny hands Or saw your little smile. I never held you in my arms, But I held you for a while. Although I never saw your face Or heard your precious laughter, You’re still my child whom I love And will forever after. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This month we honor and remember those who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, or an infant loss. The loss of a baby during pregnancy and after pregnancy is a devastating loss for families. Approximately one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage.
The month of October is a time to raise awareness, share resources, and provide a safe place for those who are grieving and hurting. Anne Ministries reaches out to families that have been affected by pregnancy loss by providing care packages filled with resources and comfort items. We want each family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
The ministry also offers a Bible study specifically to those suffering from a miscarriage, stillbirth, or the loss of an infant. Anne Ministries will host a 2-day healing retreat this year on October 25th and October 26th. Janet Caldon will be leading this event. She is a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Specialist from Washington state. Janet began ministering to women many years ago when her daughter Rachel passed. She has developed a curriculum called “Healing Tide” that ministers to those hurting from pregnancy and infant loss. This retreat will offer a safe place for hurting hearts to come together in an intimate setting to share, learn, and support each other.

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Everyone is invited to participate in the annual WAVE OF LIGHT lighting a candle at 7:00 pm in loving memory of our babies. May God bring comfort and peace to those who are hurting. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

In 2018, the Lord put on my heart the calling to reach out to those hurting from loss. Anne Ministries began in September of 2018. Anne means “grace” and that is what this ministry is about, extending God’s grace and allowing Him to heal your deepest hurt. This ministry reaches out to those hurting from abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss.
