Freedom Life’s Fireside Event
By Jim Smith
Freedom Life held its second annual Fireside event at Grace Community Church in Marion North Carolina. This year’s event was “in person” as well as virtual. At the event, Danny Hampton, Executive Director, interviewed two of Freedom Life’s current clients. Both shared their stories of recovery and how they are on the road to success.
We also had Brenda, the new afternoon DJ at 106.9 the Light FM, be part of the program and share her story of recovery. It was a beautiful night and special music was shared by Miss Willette Y. Mcintosh, David Grant, Kim Brown, all staff, and board members at Freedom Life. Heart Cry, the music department of Freedom Life, shared in a song featuring, “Let me tell you about my Jesus” and “Oh Holy Night”. This was Freedom Life’s year-end fundraising event geared toward giving Tuesday.
If you would like to give to Freedom Life with your year in donation, you can do so by going to www.freedomlifeministries.org and clicking on donate. You can also go on Freedom Life’s Facebook page to watch the Fireside event if you missed it. Freedom Life has seen tremendous growth this past year in expansion, not only locally, but beginning regionally. Freedom Life relies on grants and donations to keep work going. We would encourage you to go online and read about what opportunities Freedom Life offers our community. Every community is impacted by drug use, incarceration, addiction, and sometimes just plain old bad choices. Freedom Life walks beside individuals who have faced these circumstances to help them achieve a bright future for them and they share that they do not have to walk alone.
