No Regrets Family – Good Girls finish First

This article is for all those young girls out there who choose purity over popularity and peer pressure. For all those courageous young ladies who have said yes to “true love waits”. You do finish first because you have chosen to honor God in your life and in your conduct. Praise God for godly young women who enter marriage chaste and pure.
The world may not celebrate your chastity, your peers may not admire you, the boys may not pay you a lot of attention, but who cares. At the end of the day, you have “no regrets”. You have done things the right way and God will honor you.
I never realized how much pressure was placed on young girls. Promiscuous behavior in social media, movies, television shows, and among peers is celebrated and even considered the norm. There are so many couples who live together these days it is ridiculous. I get embarrassed to go to the mall or somewhere to eat with my wife and see some girl half-dressed. A father on Facebook recently embarrassed his daughter by wearing some short shorts. He said if you (his daughter) can go out in public dressed like that then so can I.
I thank the Lord for young ladies who dress modestly and care how they look in front of others. The modest dress says I respect myself and I am confident in who I am. That is why you finish first because your confidence and identity are not found in what others think of you.
Good girls finish first because they love the Lord more than they love the world. Let me tell you God has great things in store for you. Good girls finish first because they do not have a lot of skeletons in the closet that come back to haunt them later in life or things they apologize for later in life. Good girls finish first because they can look in a mirror and having nothing to be ashamed of and everything to be proud of.
I realize this article may not be read by the young ladies for whom it is written. But parent, grandparent, Sunday school teacher you can encourage and applaud the young lady who chooses purity. You can tell them that they are the true heroes and role models for all young ladies. You can tell them that more people are paying attention to them and some would give all to be who they are.
Dads you can praise your daughter for her modest dress and godly character. You can show her from a young age how a man should treat a woman with respect. You can, as many fathers have done, take your daughter out on a date and bless her with a purity ring or necklace that will remind her of her commitment to chastity. Dads you play a vital role in the attitudes and actions of your daughter.
It was necessary that I write this article to commend, celebrate, and praise all young ladies who love the Lord and choose chastity. The Bible says, “who can find a virtuous wife, for her worth is far above rubies.” This wife is honored because she was a good girl, and in her years of being single, she chose to honor God in purity. “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”
Good Girls finish first because God has promised. Psalm 84:11 (KJV 1900)
No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
