“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 4:7)

How many times have we been witness to it?  Troubles come our way and greatly disturbs us, only to have God’s peace quickly come to comfort our hearts and quieten our spirits as He provides His sweet assurance that all will be well.

What a blessing to know that everything that comes our way is something He has first-hand knowledge of and experience with!  The Bibles identifies the Lord as our merciful and faithful High Priest.  The Apostle Paul in Hebrews 4:15 states, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

Several truths come forth from that verse that comforts us.  First, Jesus is our High Priest.  He intervenes and intercedes for us before the Throne.  He is our advocate before the Throne of Grace to secure mercy, grace, and help in time of trouble.  Second, He who is our intercessor the one who omnisciently and experientially knows what we are dealing with because He experienced all types of problems and cares Himself.  Not only does He know about our troubles because He is our Omniscient God, He does also because He was in the flesh and experienced all the problems known to man in His own body.  Imagine, the One who can help us understands fully our problems and cares.

But the best news about His omniscience is in Hebrews 4:16 which states, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”  He knows, He cares, and He also helps!  He is omniscient, but He is also omnipotent.  He has all power and uses that power on our behalf.

Rejoice with me today that our God knows all our sorrows and has all power to help us in our time of need.  He has promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us.  He will always be our help in time of trouble.

If you or your loved ones are experiencing difficulties, rest with me that Jesus knows and cares.  Paul said, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.  (Philippians 4:7)
