You Will Reap What You Sow

By Joe Sturz

Dear Friend,

God is always watching and sees to it that money and/or advancement gained under false pretenses is never profitable in the long run as we always reap what we sow in the end (Romans 12:17-19; Galatians 6:7-8; Revelation 21:8).

Some examples of dishonesty He judges are:
–cheating on your wife or husband by committing adultery (Exodus 20:14;    Hebrews 13:40),

–buying or selling using false measures or false advertising (Prov.11:1;12:22; 19:1; Ephesians 4:28),

–elected or appointed officials giving favors for bribes (Prov. 17:23; Psalm 26:10; Luke 16:10-13; I Timothy 6:10),

–cheating on school examinations by getting the answers to tests in advance or copying the answers of another person’s paper (Luke 16:10- 13; II Cor. 4:2),

–lying about your income to get benefits from government programs or pay less taxes (Proverbs 10:2; Colossians 3:9).

God honors and prospers those that are honest and trustworthy in their dealings with others (Romans 12:17). A reputation for honesty is of great value (Prov. 21:1). So let us have the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7). Who sees all (Hebrews 4:13) and will demand an accounting of all personal activities and practices on the great Judgment Day (Revelation 20:11-15. He will punish all unrepentant dishonest persons (Revelation 21:8).

Let us establish our good name by being honest in repenting of our sin (I John 1:9) and trusting in Jesus Christ’s work on the cross for our Salvation (Romans 10:8-11;  I Corinthians 15:1-4). Providing things honest in the sight of all men (Proverbs 11:3; Romans 12:17) and not bringing reproach on His Holy Name (I Thessalonians 5:14-24).
Brother Joe “dealing honestly” Sturz for Saturday, ‎December ‎11, ‎2021.  I am praying to God the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, that those that read this will repent of their sin, receive His forgiveness (I John 1:9), and trust in Christ (Romans 10:9-10, and receive the Holy Spirit’s power to change their ways  (Acts 1:8; Romans 8:11) and live for Him, if they have not done so already.
So let us repent of our sin and trust in Christ alone for salvation. Then confess Christ (Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9-10) by getting baptized (Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19) and join a Bible-believing church (Hebrews 10:25; Matthew 18:20) read the Bible daily (Acts 17:11 and pray (Ephesians 6:18) and share your faith with others    (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 1:8).
