The Most Creative Creation

What if someone said that the Earth came to exist because of the creative power of supernatural intervention? Due to the variety of different theories of the creation of the world and the whole Universe, the subject of the origin of our existence creates confusion in the minds of millions. However, the fact that there was a beginning for the world today has a point of no argument. Let’s check some facts about the creation of the world, and humanity in particular. The foundation for this topic will be the book of origins in the Bible called Genesis.
The Bible’s account of God creating the Earth is more than just a documentation of the Earth’s divine beginnings. It tells us who we are, where we came from, and what amazing things God has planned for humanity. The very first verse of the Holy Bible says: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1 KJV), and “the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2 KJV). The very next phrase, “God said”, is mentioned in this chapter ten times! Later in the Bible, the psalmist will confirm it with the words: “He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” (Psalm 33:9 KJV).
As we follow along the narrative of the first chapter of Genesis, we read through the days of Creation, first, second, third, and all the way to the sixth, where God created something different. “God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:” (Genesis 1:26 KJV), “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). Further, we read: “… the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7 KJV). So, God made us: with consciousness; to be creative; to exercise authority and with the ability to choose. Because of this, today, we are free moral beings. It is also the reason why the whole human race is corrupt today. They had made, and they keep making the wrong choices.
One thing that God did not create – is evil! The Bible calls it “the mystery of iniquity” (2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV). So, everyone decides today either for good (or for God) or for evil. However, Lord Jesus has redeemed human nature and He gives us help to overcome in time of need. Everyone who lives and believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life (John 11:26; 3:16)!
Finally, let’s look at one more important element of Creation – the Sabbath Day! The Bible says that “on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” (Genesis 2:2–3 KJV). He not just rested but He blessed the Sabbath day. Later, Mark will write the famous Words of Jesus: “The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore, the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.” (Mark 2:27–28 KJV). Praise God for the Sabbath!
It is so important to know God as our Creator. The entire week of Creation portrays the divine plan for humanity. The Lord wants relationships with His creation. So, that all creatures of our God and King lift up their voice and sing: Alleluia! It is amazing, that individually we can understand our place in the complete design of the Divine Providence!
Dear reader, it’s up to you what to believe: the Big Bang theory, or evolution from monkeys, but the Word of God, that never changes, calls you and me to come to the Lord of Love who created you for Him and His Glorious Kingdom! Will you accept His invitation and receive His story today? May the Lord Bless you as you do!
