Hello friends! We have tasted and seen the goodness of God over the past several weeks. I just want to take the time to praise Him and give an update on all that God is doing in our community. We have witnessed His goodness at the Mount Victory Revival, with many souls saved and relationships restored. The revival is now moving into our churches. It’s exciting to see God answering prayers and saving lives that once were lost. God’s goodness is running after us…We have seen this with Anne Ministries. God provided a location for the ministry at 305 West Mitchell Street in Newland, NC.
The month of August was spent getting things ready with paint, repairs, and furnishings. We want to thank everyone that helped and spent hours of their time to get us ready for opening day. We appreciate and thank God for each of you. September 1st was opening day. Anne Ministries is now open to serve those in our community and surrounding communities on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-6 PM and Wednesdays 2-5 PM. We are available other days and times by appointment. Anne Ministries is a ministry extending God’s grace to those in need, offering pregnancy support and recovery services. We want to be His hands and feet as God leads us in this ministry.
Anne Ministries held its dedication ceremony and open house on September 4th. It was a blessed day, many came out to support the ministry and pray. On September 16th we had a time of prayer with our Prayer Partners lifting up the needs for the ministry. The ministry held its first training for volunteers on September 18th. We were blessed to have 12 volunteers in attendance with Helen Rogers as our speaker. Helen is the director of Agape Pregnancy Services in Fayetteville, NC. She has been involved in Pregnancy Services for more than 30 years. Helen has been such a blessing and help to Anne Ministries.
We have been praying for the needs of the ministry and earlier this year we began praying for an ultrasound machine and everything needed to offer this service when the time came. We had no idea when this would happen. The call was to trust God and His timing. God supplied the room to offer this service at our new location. On the day of the training, Ms. Helen said she had an ultrasound machine and table that God wanted us to have. She shared how she had had the machine a couple of years and now knew why ….. God had it set aside for Anne Ministries. I am in awe of God’s goodness! I am reminded we are called to trust Him and He will supply and equip us for what is needed to do His work. He goes before us and prepares the way.
The ministry began in October offering support groups. A post-abortion support group will meet as needed and a pregnancy loss support group will meet on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. Please help us pray for these group meetings and for God to do a work of healing in the lives of those that will attend. On September 25th the ministry had a table at the town fall festival, we were able to give out information and share about the ministry. We sold enough baked goods to offset some of the costs of our literature. God is so good!
We have been blessed with clothing donations, diapers, and other baby items. We have fall and winter clothes for newborns up to 5T. If you know of someone in need please send them our way. In 2018, the Lord put on my heart the calling to reach out to those hurting from loss. Anne Ministries began in September of 2018. Anne means “grace” and that is what this ministry is about, extending God’s grace and allowing Him to heal your deepest hurt. This ministry reaches out to those hurting from abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss. The ministry expanded in 2021 offering pregnancy support services to those facing an unplanned pregnancy. Chastity and her family attend Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newland, NC.
