Local Physicians Assistant Appointed To Serve on the North Carolina Institute of Medicine, Board of Directors

Mitchell County

 

Lyndsay Jensen Edwards, PA has been appointed to serve on the North Carolina Institute of Medicine, Board of Directors. Lyndsay is a native of Mitchell County and is currently employed by the Mountain Community Health Partnership. (Bakersville Community Health Center.)

Lyndsay was recommended by Senator Ralph Hise and appointed by Senator Philip Berger, President Pro Tempore of the Senate. Lyndsay says, “I am honored to have been appointed to this position. It is a great opportunity to represent our community, the PA profession, and aid in improving healthcare in North Carolina.”

The North Carolina Institute of Medicine has shaped health policy in North Carolina for more than 30 years by identifying solutions to the state’s health challenges. Lyndsay will serve alongside Keith Holtsclaw, FACHE, who is also from Mitchell County. He also serves as a Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) Board Member.
