National Day of Prayer

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4
As we prepare for an upcoming election year, let’s first of all be in prayer. No one person…no one agenda…no one party or political affiliation will solve our nation’s problems. GOD is our only hope. GOD is our only help. GOD is our only salvation. GOD is our only solution.
While we repent of our sin in this nation and of blatantly disobeying The LORD…and turn to Him…and return to Him, there is something more we can do. We can vote. *March 5, 2024, is our primary election.* I urge everyone to vote, a freedom we have that is not to be taken for granted. Know the candidates. Know their beliefs and morals. Know if they have integrity and honesty. And most of all…pray.
Also, we are preparing for the National Day of Prayer this year. It is May 2, 2024. The theme is “Lift Up The Word – Light Up The World”. The Scripture theme is 2 Samuel 22:29-31, “For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.”
