One Talent Buried in The Earth

Mathew 25:14, “For the Kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods”. We must first keep in mind this is a parable; Strongs G3850 is “an earthly story with a heavenly meaning”.
The Man traveling into a far country, the kingdom of heaven, is the Lord Jesus Christ, who called his own servants, and delivered to them his goods. 2 Co 4:5, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake”.
Mathew 25:15, “And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey”.
Each servant receives a specific number of talents pertaining to his own ability; (several – ability). Strongs # G2398 Several, his own, pertaining to one’s self. Strongs # G1411 Ability, his strength, power, mighty work; inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth.
Only the Lord Jesus can judge his servants. Rom. 14:4, “Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? To his own master [Jesus Christ] he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand”.
Mathew 25:16, “Then he that received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them five other talents”.
To trade, Strongs # G2038, to labor or do work. Strongs 3673; “went and traded with the same”. Strongs # 846, together, or persons assembled together. John 4:36, “And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathered fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together”. Acts 20:24, “But I put no value on my life, if only at the end of it I may see the work complete which was given to me by the Lord Jesus, to be a witness of the good news of the grace of God”.
Mathew 25:21, “His Lord said to him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
Two of Christ’s servants double the number of talents given to them for the service of those taking up collections for the ministering of the word of God. Strongs # G1006 to feed portrays the duty of a Christian teacher or servant to promote in every way the spiritual welfare of the members of the true church of God. Feeding sheep is the act of feeding spiritual food, the truth of the scriptures.
John 21:17, “Jesus said unto him a third time Feed my Sheep”. Acts 20:28, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood”.
Faithful Servants of God are his representatives. The elect of God, who have been called by him are to be faithful witnesses of the Gospel. Eph 1:3-5, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places In Christ. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his well”.
The tithes of the nation of Israel, old ceremonial laws, were brought into the temple storehouse treasury of the Lord. Christ’s servants’ blessings of talents and all their possessions are given by God. As Jesus sat over against the treasury, he beheld how the rich cast in much. The poor widow threw in two mites, a trifle amount. Mark 12:44, Jesus said, “For all they did cast in their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all she had, even all her living”.
Remember the parable of the rich man, Luke 16:19, or the rich man easily going through the eye of a needle?, Mathew 19:24 The world flourishes on many types of false prosperity gospels. Pro 28:20, “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent”.
What an amazing illustration and influence, the poor widow giving contributions of everything she had as recorded in the scriptures. This is an extraordinary example proclaimed to millions over the years as they study the word of God and consider their tithes.
Mathew 25:18. “But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his Lord’s money”.
Symbolically, the servant concealing his Lord’s given money in the earth was the destruction of his fellowship duty he had with the Lord Jesus Christ. His talent was hidden in the darkness of an earth pit. 2Co 4:3, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost”. Mathew 25:30, “And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth”.
The servant hiding the Lord’s talent in the cursed earth was concealing his obligation to bring the gospel to the world. The servant was to bring the scriptures (feeding sheep) so people would become saved. A person saved is like a tithe in the treasury of the Lord’s house. All are waiting for the return of Jesus Christ multiplying tithes by the millions of those who are in the service of following Jesus Christ. Mathew 18:23, “Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take accounts of his servants”. Luke 12:34, “for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”.
Malachi 3: 8-10, “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”.
