Spiritual Poison Control

Symbolically, the deaf ear is (Strongs # H2795) men who will not hear the prophets and obey the law. Psalm 58:4, “their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear”.
Isaiah 29:24 “They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine”.
After Christ was crucified and had risen, he commissioned the disciples; Mark 16:15 “go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. The disciples in the days of Jesus were basically the same as today’s followers of Jesus Christ, apprentice students of the gospel. They were to proclaim to the public, all the world, something which has been done. (Strongs G2784), “Go and Preach; to herald or officiate by the public proclamation of the gospel and matters pertaining to it, made by Jesus, by the apostles and other Christian teachers”.
Modern-day disciples, (John 6:44 who the Father must draw to Himself), must believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They can have the signs listed below following them. A sign is a shadow, it has no physical properties. The shadow of God Almighty protects mankind’s soul. Signs and shadows are symbolic of The Father, The Son Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. They have no physical manifestation. Psalm 91:1, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”.
Today’s modern-day disciples, Christian teachers, must always be mindful of Paul’s statements in Acts 20:29 & 30. “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also, of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse (Strongs G1294, corrupt God’s word) things, to draw away disciples after them.”
Signs Of the Comforter, Who Is the Holy Spirit.
Mark 16:17, “and these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues.” John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever have I have said to you.”
Casting Out Devils.
James 4:7, (Strongs # G5293, be under submission to God) “Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you”.
Speak With New Tongues
Job 27:4, “My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit”.
Mark 16:18, “They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”.
Take Up Serpents
Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy [the devils]: and nothing by any means shall hurt you”.
Drink Any Deadly Thing
The elect teachers of God will not be deceived (Strongs # G635, Seduce, to be led away from truth to error) by false Christs, false prophets, or false Gospels. Mark 13:22,” False Christs and false prophets will arise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect”.
John 7:37,38 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” Mark 16:18, “To Drink” refers to (Strongs # G4095) “figuratively, to receive into the soul that which serves to refresh, strengthen, and nourish unto life eternal”.
Also, it’s extremely important to understand “To Drink”, Strongs #H8354, figuratively can define drinking a cup of God’s wrath, of slaughter and wicked deeds. Job 15:16, “How much more abominable and filthier is man, which drinketh iniquity [sin] like water”. Obadiah 1:16, “for as you have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been”.
Lay Hands on The Sick and they Shall Recover
Perhaps the most symbolic sign in all of the scriptures is the hand. Figuratively representing the “right hand of the power of God”. Hebrews 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God”.1 Peter 5:6, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time”. “Exalt” Strongs # G5312, to raise you to dignity, honor, and happiness.
The “laying on of hands” to someone is a symbolic gesture of bringing someone under “The Mighty Hand of God”, the power of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps God’s Word will open the deaf ear to hear the scriptures spoken by his servant; a modern-day disciple or Christian teacher. 2 Corinthians 6:6 &7, “By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned [sincere]. By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and the left”.
Mark 16:18 refers to recovering from spiritual sickness of one’s soul, not physical sickness. 2 Corinthians 4:16,” for this cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day”. 2 Timothy 2:26 “and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him as well”.
The ministry of Jesus Christ leaves no doubt that He healed all manner of sickness, Mathew 9:35. Healing physical disease by mankind is not the ability of those who teach the word of God. Why do we have hospitals full of disease and death? 1 Corinthians 15:22, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive”.
The “power of Satan” can be manifested by deceivers who are Antichrists; of which there are many in the world today. 2 Thessalonians 2:9, “working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders”. The deceivers claim the ability to heal physical sickness. Their subjects fall backward as they claim to have received a miracle of physical healing; known as being “slain by the spirit”.
Falling backward is a sign of corruption, deceivers, shame, confusion, and demonic activity.
John 18:6, “As soon then as he had said unto them, I Am He, they went backward, and fell to the ground”. Isaiah 44:25, “That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish”. Jeremiah 7:24, “But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward”. Psalm 70:2. “Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt”.
Job 27:11 sums up perfectly the responsibility of those who bring the Gospel to mankind. “I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal”.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, continue in your endurance of teaching God’s word; “the word of the Lord endureth for ever”. 1 Peter 4:6 “for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit”.
