Todd’s Techy Tips | The Digital Dump – Waste!

Time is the most precious resource we have as human beings. Psalm 90:12 “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” So many mighty men of God testified in the bible about how fleeting life is. And God does not like waste. But what is one of the greatest, if not the most significant, end results of technology? It is a waste; wasted time. To reiterate, God does NOT like waste. Two verses in the New Testament, Ephesians 5:16 and Colossians 4:5, both instruct us to redeem the time. Many say when asked what they are doing, “Oh I’m just killing time.” But my pastor clarified it most properly, “Time is killing you.”
Technology has created the greatest waste in history in the form of wasted time. And almost equally bad is the resulting idolatry. Smartphones are the greatest culprit in addition to social media sites and worst of all, online gaming. My very first video game in the 70s was the Atari 2600 which is where I learned to play Chess surprisingly. Wasn’t long after, we saw handheld games, the Nintendo, the mall arcades, and so on. But fast forward to today with the advent of modern graphics and super advanced coding and now we have a prevalent evil in our midst. On a side note, did you know one of the tactics of the communist agenda to take over the world was the free flow of money? According to a recent survey, the average person spends nearly 7 hours per day online. Also, as I have mentioned before and research has proven, smartphone users stay in a constant state of distraction. God forbid you should turn off notifications for any social media site or similar online platform. Because if you do, nearly every time you visit those sites, they are nagging you to turn them back on. The devil knows that a distracted mind is stomping grounds for him.
Technology has captured the minds of the world in every developed nation! It is the greatest form of free will and mind control ever known to man. The powers that be who are controlled by the devil have found the ideal way to get rich and destroy your soul simultaneously. Find me another preacher that YOU know or have even heard of who is exposing this sinister weapon of Satan for what it is! And, again, it’s not me but what God has emphatically impressed in my heart to preach against. And confirmed it to me with signs following and strong chastening. Friend, I strive to live what I preach and preach what I live. These aren’t just words on a page to generate more interest for Heartbeat Christian News or to make me out to be somebody. The name of this article, Todd’s Techy Tips, was given to me by God and the fact that it is catchy, well praise be to Him for that.
Just remember, we all are going to give a full account of our lives on the day of judgment! Even for every idle word we’ve spoken. And you know, your conscience bears witness if your smartphone and/or technology is an idol to you whether you or honest with yourself or not. If it is, what is the solution? For starters, pray for someone you love who is addicted to it for their deliverance because we reap what we sow. Getting someone you know without doubt can touch God on your behalf in prayer for deliverance. The word of God means the original KJV because He sent His Word to heal us. Faith! It wearies me sometimes to seem redundant but hear this again. Smartphones and technology is the method the devil is going to use to control the world. It’s not going to get better but worse. With freedom being taken away at an alarming rate, without the use of the Constitution, this should give you great spiritual concern! We’ve all heard the old and familiar phrase, “The devil is in the details.” My friend that is NOT true. The devil wants you to omit and forget the details. God is the One Who requires every detail. Matthew 5:18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
