The Divine Hero

Today’s world does not comprehend the gift from Heaven of the only-begotten child with no beginning or end. The Lord appointed the divine hero who’s God and man simultaneously. God, the eternal Son, became incarnate in Jesus Christ. It is through Him: absolutely all things were created; the loving character of God is revealed and vindicated; the salvation of humankind is accomplished, and the world is judged. Eternal God, He became human, Jesus the Christ. Who is that person, and what should everyone need to know about Him? Let us overview the answer.
First, let’s open the book of books and find out who God’s Son is. According to the gospel of John: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1–4 KJV). The Bible identifies Jesus Christ as our Creator. Apostle Paul confirms it: “By Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth” (Colossians 1:16, NKJV).
Next, the Bible said that Christ came from Heaven to Earth to save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). He was in human flesh. God, His Father, and Mary, His mother, brought together divinity and humanity to save the human race. So, Jesus was fully God, yet fully man.
Jesus Christ became our savior and Lord – the Messiah. He lived and died to bring us salvation. He began His mission on Earth at His earthly father’s carpenter shop. According to the Scripture, as He was growing, he was strong in Spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him. (Luke 2:40). When He was ready for the public ministry, He went to the Jordan River and was baptized by His cousin John. “Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.” (Matthew 3:13–15 KJV). Jesus was approved by His Father on the mission of salvation when the Spirit of God descended upon Him: “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:21–22 KJV). So, Jesus Christ began to seek and save what was lost (Matthew 18:11).
After three and half years of ministry, He was crucified, risen from the grave, and intercedes for us in the Heavenly Sanctuary (Matthew 28:1-8; 1 John 2: 1-2). Also, He is coming back to the Earth again as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords to give to everyone according to their works. (Revelation 22:12-14).
Most importantly, God is Love. He loves you and wants to spend eternity with you! What is your response to the merciful Savior Who does not want you to perish but that you may have Eternal life?
